Craps: Come bet
COME bet is a self-service bet placed in front of the player in the
COME box. A Come bet can only be made on any roll AFTER a point for the pass line has been established. A Come bet is always working. All other rules for the Come bet are equal to the pass line bet.
- Example: Come out Roll for Pass Line bet is a 5. Point marked 5
- Come bet is made
- 7 or 11 Wins. There are 8 ways to win from the combinations of the dice.
- 2, 3 or 12 loses. There are 4 ways to lose from the dice combinations.
- If the next roll is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10, the come bet did not win or lose and is moved to the point box that rolled.
- Next roll of the dice is a 6. Come bet is moved to the 6 point box.
- For the come bet to win, the POINT number 6 now must roll before the 7 rolls.
- Only a roll of a 7 will cause the come 6 bet to lose, any other number that rolls has no effect on the come 6.
- Next roll is a 9. Come bet on the 6 does not win or lose. No action roll.
- Next roll is a 6. Come bet wins and is paid even money. The come bet and winnings are placed back in the come box and the player now can collect his winnings and make a new bet if he so wishes.
- Come Points 4 & 10 have 3 ways to win and 6 ways to lose
- Come Points 5 & 9 have 4 ways to win and 6 ways to lose
- Come Points 6 & 8 have 5 ways to win and 6 ways to lose
Common myth or misunderstanding about the come bet. Many players say the come bet has to roll 2 times to win but place bets only have to roll one time to win so place bets are way better bets to make.
FALSE!
Come bets can win on the very first roll with a seven or an eleven and never make it to a point number box.
